In the last month I have abandoned my traditional type of online blackjack play and I am going back to the basics. I had a tough run of online blackjack a few months ago. I was over analyzing my plays and getting too caught up in my play. A few people suggested I go back to playing the game for fun, so I am giving it a try. I’m re-reading a lot of online blackjack articles lately and have come across the idea of a stiff hand that I would like to share with players.

One of the most difficult hands in online blackjack to be dealt is a stiff hand. A stiff hand is when a blackjack player is dealt cards with a value of 12 up to 16. Winning this sort of hand in basic blackjack can prove to be a very difficult obstacle for a player. Players do have a higher risk of busting, as dictated by blackjack odds, and therefore, some will opt not to take a card even at the risk of losing. On the other hand, this card value is normally too low to beat the dealer in online blackjack.

This is a difficult scenario to get out of. What has always worked for me is using my card counting skills. Knowing my odds of getting a high card or low card, I can improve my chances of winning at the end of the game. To learn more about card counting, check out info about online blackjack!
